Literacy Coach

As Reading Interventionist & Coach you are expected to utilize historic STEP Literacy and NWEA assessments, when available, as well as formative and summative assessments from curriculum for each student in order to group students within each classroom by particular literacy skill deficits in order to help teachers conduct purposeful small group instruction to remediate those deficits during literacy blocks.

From time to time you will model best practices for small group instruction within each classroom and prepare monthly progress reports for the principal on student progress and teacher effectiveness in small group instruction. All these efforts are for the purpose of closing student achievement gaps. Maintaining a passion for the mission and vision of the school, you are expected to work some evening and weekend hours as part of your normal duties.

Thank you!
